CURE Childhood Cancer’s 10th annual Believe Ball, presented by Delta Air Lines and Novelis, was held at The St. Regis Atlanta on Saturday, November 11. Featuring beloved Atlanta comedian and longtime CURE supporter Jeff Foxworthy as emcee, the event raised a record-breaking $1.93 million in proceeds benefiting CURE. Since its inception, the black-tie event has raised more than $11 million to fund targeted research to find a cure for pediatric cancer and to provide crisis-oriented serves to families.
“We are astounded by the generosity of the attendees and grateful for our sponsors that make the event possible,” said Kristin Connor, CEO of CURE Childhood Cancer. Support for the event and CURE’s mission continues to grow through new and expanded commitments from partners including MetLife; Northwestern Mutual Goodwin, Wright; Dragon Con; and Church’s Chicken.
A highlight of the Believe Ball was CURE’s presentation of the Ragab Spirit of Hope Award to Bobby Aiken, President and CEO of Lendmark Financial, and to the entire Lendmark Financial team. The fun continued with a special performance by Season 12 American Idol Winner Candice Glover accompanied by the SCAD Bee-Sharps.
