Over forty authors are slated to appear at the City of John’s Creek Literary Fair, held this weekend. The day will begin with “Speed Dating” presentations featuring 20 local authors giving two-minute pitches of their books to attendees.  The Speed Dating presentation will be accompanied by piano performances from conservatory piano students representing Chopin Academy of Atlanta, Chopin Academy in Vienna, and Carnegie Hall in New York performance.

Here are three local authors you won’t want to miss.

Kristen Harmel

New York Times Best Selling Author Kristin Harmel will present prose from her book, “The Paris Daughter” at 1:30 p.m., followed by a seated meet and greet where fans can ask the author to sign a copy of the release.

Harmel has authored more than a dozen novels including “The Forest of Vanishing Stars” and “The Book of Lost Names” – titles which have made New York Times and USA bestselling lists. Her novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and are distributed all over the world.

Terah Shelton Harris

Terah Shelton Harris is a former librarian and world traveler, who is said to have visited 40 countries across 6 continents.  Harris will share excerpts from her first novel “One Summer in Savannah,” which tells the emotional story of a family in conflict, redemption, and unconditional love amidst a sweltering summer in one of Georgia’s most historic and iconic cities.

Kristen Ness

Kristen Ness will present her new book “At Loggerheads,” a murder mystery that chronicles the death of a conservationist in the salt marsh of Lowcountry South Carolina and subsequent investigation by a local police detective and his ex-girlfriend – a marine biologist specializing in loggerhead sea turtles – that ultimately leads to the unraveling of an intricate crime web.
