Countdown for a Cure’s Evening of Energy gala raised over $900,000 to support cutting-edge mitochondrial research. Held at the St. Regis Atlanta, the event welcomed over 400 attendees and was chaired by Kimberly and Michael Gottschalk. Founders Mitzi and Jeff Solomon led the evening, bringing together industry leaders, medical professionals, and Atlanta’s philanthropic society. Sebastien and Annett Cotte were honored with the Powerhouse Award for their dedication to mitochondrial research and advocacy.
The night featured actress Dania Ramirez as host, an energetic after-party by DJ Babey Drew, and a luxury raffle by Solomon Brothers Jewelers. The live auction had the crowd on fire, featuring adorable puppies from Ocoee River Doodles, complete with training from North Georgia K9, luxury vacations including a Tuscany escape at Casanova di Neri Relais, oceanfront homes in the Dominican Republic, and an exclusive villa stay at Four Seasons Tamarindo. Bidders also vied for stunning paintings by Ashley Longshore and Andrew Cotton, an unforgettable football training experience with Zion Logue, and a spectacular diamond tennis necklace from Diamonds by Drish. Guests also enjoyed exceptional wines by Casanova di Neri and Castiglion del Bosco, adding to the evening’s elegance.
