“If These Walls Could Talk” Atlanta Opening
Orphaned Starfish Foundation’s Arts Education Initiative at Carousel Fine Art.
Atlanta supporters gathered at Carousel Fine Art gallery in Buckhead for an exclusive opening of If These Walls Could Talk, a collaboration between the Orphaned Starfish Foundation and Houston-based international artist, Justin Garcia.
Through this immersive art installation, Garcia channels the voices of children that have been victims of abuse and survivors of trafficking from orphanages around the world. He traveled to and visited these various OSF sites that hosts these children from these traumatic backgrounds and together created these unique paintings that express their feelings through words and drawings – like graffiti on a wall.
This project has allowed these children to share what they would like the world to know about them. The works are scheduled to go on exhibit around the world.
