Mission Statement

For more than a century, Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta has been the philanthropic heart and soul of the Atlanta Jewish community. We’ve grown to serve the city we love! Atlanta continues to be a magnet for young Jewish professionals and families, offering great employment opportunities and a remarkable infrastructure of schools, synagogues and Jewish organizations. The human talent in our community is another source of strength.

Federation has evolved from being primarily a fundraising organization to the convener of a dynamic Jewish ecosystem. Our mission is expansive — to lead and engage all Jews and their loved ones. Across this sprawling metro area, we are here to plan for the community’s future, to rise up to meet human needs of our people in Atlanta and around the world, and to amplify Jewish Atlanta’s incredible assets.

We see ourselves as philanthropic champions for the Jewish community with the potential to influence and direct generosity and investments — we want to do big things in Atlanta!
