Fulton County Arts and Culture’s “FACES of Fashion: Iconic Moments”
Fulton County Arts and Culture hosted the “FACES of Fashion: Iconic Moments” in anticipation of its Fall 2024 Gala. The star-studded fusion of art, fashion and philanthropy was held at the High Museum of Art. The kickoff was not just an evening of splendor but, Fulton County says, an affirmation of Atlanta’s rising significance in the fashion world and a testament to the strength of a community coming together.
“We drew inspiration from revered events such as New York’s Met Gala and Miami’s Art Basel,” said David Manuel, director of the Fulton County Arts & Culture. “Our FACE program isn’t solely about lure of high fashion. It’s about fueling economic development while elevating our thriving arts community and bringing the fashion community together. A portion of the proceeds from the gala also will benefit a Fulton County non-profit organization that supports the Arts and Fashion and provides resources and cultural opportunities to people of all ages with a passion for the Arts.”
The precursor gathering included more than 300 fashion luminaries and influencers including fashion designers, retailers, beauty moguls, sports personalities as well as figures from TV, film, media, music, politics, and corporate leaders. Guests included Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Cynthia Bailey, Atlanta commissioner Natalie Hall, actress Eva Marcille, actor and rapper Fonzworth Bentley, commissioner Marvin Arrington, commissioner chairman Robb Pitts, television host Portia Bruner and news anchor Karen Greer.
